Commitment to Factual Accuracy

The Ganges Today strives for complete factual accuracy across every published dispatch. When an error of fact, misattributed quote, or inaccurate data point is brought to our attention and corroborated, our policy is to correct it promptly, completely, and transparently.

How Corrections Are Executed

• No Silent Rewriting: We do not secretly or silently alter substantive errors. If an article contained a material factual error, a prominent Correction Notice is appended to the top or bottom of the article.
• Notice Transparency: The correction notice clearly specifies the exact date and timestamp of the correction, what information was originally stated in error, and what the verified factual correction is.
• Minor Typographical Fixes: Routine typographical, punctuation, or formatting adjustments that do not alter the substantive factual meaning of a report are corrected directly with an updated article timestamp.
• Clarifications: Where reporting was factually accurate but the phrasing created ambiguity or incomplete context, a clarification note is added explaining the expanded context.
• Retractions: In the rare event that an entire story is found to be fatally flawed or based on demonstrably fraudulent documentation, the article will be formally retracted, accompanied by a detailed editorial explanation.
